On June 6, 2025, the Guiribitey Family Foundation carried out a large-scale medical outreach at Centro Mundial de Restauración Familiar (CMDRF) in the Dominican Republic—an expansive community space with indoor and outdoor facilities that allowed it to be fully transformed into a temporary medical clinic for the day.
Transforming a Community Space Into a Structured Clinic
Using CMDRF’s offices and open areas, the Foundation created multiple consultation rooms where certified volunteer doctors from the Dominican Republic provided medical evaluations, consultations, and prescriptions. While no surgical procedures were performed on site, the clinic operated as a structured healthcare environment designed around privacy, dignity, and attentive care.
By the end of the outreach, approximately 800 patients had been served—each one welcomed into a space built to feel respectful, safe, and organized.
Medical Supplies and Clinic Operations Support
To ensure the clinic could function safely and efficiently, the Foundation transported a full container of medical supplies, including essential medications and wellness resources such as cough syrup, vitamin C, smoking cessation products, and general medical support items.
The Foundation also donated and installed seven hospital-grade medical beds, properly equipping consultation and treatment areas and supporting smooth operations throughout the day.
Advanced Medical Outreach and Equipment Donations for Long-Term Impact
This mission was designed not only for immediate relief, but also to expand long-term healthcare capacity.
In addition to the on-site outreach, the Guiribitey Family Foundation donated critical hospital-grade equipment to CMDRF, including:
3 X-ray machines
1 dialysis machine
1 anesthesia machine
Essential supporting medical supplies
These contributions substantially expand diagnostic, treatment, and surgical capacity for low-income and vulnerable patients—moving beyond short-term outreach toward permanent access to quality medical care.
Community Support Beyond the Clinic
Care extended far beyond consultations. Each household received a thoughtfully prepared goodie bag tailored to their needs—because recovery, prevention, and stability also happen at home.
These goodie bags included household medical essentials such as isopropyl alcohol, cotton swabs, cotton balls, first aid supplies, and daily-use medications including acetaminophen and pain relievers. Some bags were assembled with women’s intimate care products like wipes and intimate body wash, while others were designed for elderly family members and included adult diapers.
Children received their own comfort-focused bags as well—filled with cartoon bandages, small toys, and simple games to help make the day feel more welcoming.
The Foundation team also helped families select books for their children, ensuring each child left with educational materials to take home. And as patients exited the clinic, shoes were distributed, reinforcing dignity and care beyond medical treatment.
Human Connection Was Part of the Mission
Throughout the day, volunteers spent time speaking with families, engaging with children, sharing laughter, and creating a warm, respectful environment. This outreach was intentionally designed so every person felt seen, valued, and cared for—not just treated.
This medical outreach reflects the Guiribitey Family Foundation’s commitment to both immediate relief and long-term impact, combining medical care, essential resources, and human connection to support underserved communities with dignity and compassion.
Continuing the Work: Support for CMDRF – Villa Carmen
On the same day, additional medical supplies were delivered to CMDRF – Villa Carmen, supporting the development of a nonprofit hospital serving low-resource communities—further strengthening the Foundation’s commitment to sustainable healthcare access.
