Books for Learning & Imagination

A book can do more than teach a child how to read—it can open a world. It can build confidence, strengthen language skills, spark imagination, and create a habit of learning that lasts far beyond a classroom.
As part of our Education & Children’s Support initiatives, the Guiribitey Family Foundation focused on one powerful tool that is often overlooked: access to books.
Supporting English-Language Learning in La Romana
To support families with limited educational resources, the Foundation donated 2,000+ books to Dreams Come True Institute in La Romana. These books help reinforce English-language learning and expand access to reading materials for children and families who may not have them at home.
Language is opportunity—especially for children growing up in communities where resources are limited. By supporting English learning through books, we’re supporting confidence, future education pathways, and long-term possibilities.
Expanding Access for Children at Centro Mundial de Restauración
The Foundation also donated 500 books to Centro Mundial de Restauración Mundial, supporting children who are cared for during services. For many families, these spaces are not only places of community connection—they are also places where children can be nurtured, supported, and encouraged to grow.
More Than a Donation: A Long-Term Investment
Every book was selected with intention—to encourage:
Literacy and reading skills
Imagination and creativity
Long-term engagement with learning
We believe education doesn’t only happen through institutions—it also happens in everyday moments: at home, after school, during quiet time, and through stories that children return to again and again.
This initiative reflects the Foundation’s commitment to creating long-term impact by giving children tools that continue to serve them—today, tomorrow, and for years to come.
