Children living in residential care deserve more than a single moment of help—they deserve consistency, dignity, and stability. At the Guiribitey Family Foundation, we believe meaningful support is built through presence and continuity, not one-time visits.
That is why, on two separate occasions—June 20 and July 16, 2025—the Guiribitey Family Foundation returned to support both the Niños de Cristo boys’ and girls’ orphanages in the Dominican Republic, providing sustained, hands-on assistance to children and caregivers.
Two Visits, One Commitment: Showing Up More Than Once
By visiting on multiple dates and serving both homes each time, our team reinforced a simple but powerful message: you are not forgotten, and you are not alone. These visits were intentionally structured to ensure continuity of support—because children thrive when care is reliable, not occasional.
During each visit, the Foundation delivered essential resources focused on education, health, and daily wellbeing, supporting both children and the caregivers responsible for their daily care.
Donations Provided Across Both Visits
Across the two visits, the Foundation delivered resources that help strengthen daily life and restore a sense of normalcy, including:
School supplies for children at both orphanages
Toys and playpens to support play, emotional wellbeing, and normal childhood routines
Clothing and shoes for children of different ages
Medical supplies to support caretakers and day-to-day care needs
Each category of support was chosen intentionally—because wellbeing is holistic. Children need tools for learning, items that make daily life comfortable, and spaces to play and feel safe. Caregivers need practical resources that help them provide consistent, attentive care.
Why Continuity Matters
One-time donations can bring relief. But continuity builds trust—and trust builds stability.
By returning more than once and maintaining support for both the boys’ and girls’ homes, the Foundation reinforced its commitment to long-term care for children living in residential settings. These visits reflect a mission centered on dignity: ensuring children feel seen, supported, and cared for—not just in a single moment, but over time.
